A300 Large beautiful, large scale, vintage tobacco-picking basket of Virgiia origins. Handsome woven split-wood construction with wonderful  worn and weathered overall surface and patina.   Some baskets contained agricultural goods or other food products. Farmers often used split oak baskets for gathering cotton or displaying tobacco leaves. The tobacco basket was used in Viginia  during the late 19th century measurements are:36" long x 22" tall x 22" deep
