F515 Early 20th century Patriotic Painted pine silhouette of Uncle Sam, retaining it's original surface , Antique Folk Art Uncle Sam figure, circa 1920,in it's original paint a carved and painted silhouette of Uncle Sam cut from one board, with attached arms retaining its original attached iron base, for standing ,These figures became popular during World War I in the Troy, New York area (the alleged birthplace of “Uncle Sam”); while some were likely just ornaments, many were fashioned to hold flags or mail boxes. This one is holding a little red tin box 73" high .
