FF699 HENRY DAVIS Original Canvasback Hen Decoy by famous Upper Chesapeake Bay decoy maker Henry Davis, Perryville, Maryland (1876 – 1960). Decoy is in old paint over original working paint with a nice surface and painted feather pattern. Decoy is not only branded twice on bottom with the initials “S G H”, but it also retains the original weight and ring. This working decoy has areas where pieces of shot are still visibly embedded in the wood.
Measurements are approximately 15 1/4” long x 7” wide x 8” tall
