Wood Boxes and Bins

RM1319 1800s New England blue painted foot warmer/foot stove featuring nice corner turnings and the original sheet metal ember box boasting five punched heart shapes on each of the sides. The hand pierced circular holes on the sides and top allowed heat to be distributed evenly. The wooden frame is mortised and pegged construction. The ember box has nicely folded edges and the soldering is secure. Bale handle on top is secured with small early wire staple-type hooks. Door “hinges” and latch are comprised of early pieces of bent wire.

Measurements: 9” long x 7 3/4” wide x 5 1/2” tall
