G611 Beautiful stamped Two-Gallon Stoneware Water Cooler with thick/heavy Cobalt Tulip pattern decoration on both the front and back. Additional cobalt decoration and highlights include dashes below the handles with highlights around the handle edges and highlights around the bunghole. This pattern is attributed to Richard C. Remmey of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Circa 1870 - 1880's. The cooler is ovoid with incised lines around the top sections, a stepped bunghole, slightly footed base and applied lug handles. some chipping to the inside of left handle and around the left side of top rim, but they do not detract from the beauty of this piece. Slight turkey track on back that does not go through to inside, no apparent cracks found. Measurements: 13" tall x 8" diameter bottom. The squared top rim measures 7" diameter.
