G922 Rare - hand-carved, wooden H C Evans & Company early 1900's Carnival Game Race Horse and Jockey figure in original vibrant polychrome colors. This particular horse bears an oversized '5' painted on his flank. It is extremely rare to find these game horses in such fantastic condition, especially with both the Jockey's hat and the Horse's original hand-carved tail remaining in tact! Mounted on a metal base for display purposes, however it is fully removable. H C Evans & Company was established in Chicago, IL in 1892 and collapsed in 1955. The horse games were some of the earliest - dating to the early 1900s. Measurements: 15 3/4" long x 5 1/2" tall x 1 1/2" thick. Mounted height is 12" to top of Jockey's hat
