H274 Civil War era heart-shaped brass and leather Martingale with original ring. This style of Martingale adorned the breast plate of Civil War saddles. Brass shaped heart is applied to a heart-shaped leather pad with detailed stitching and applied decorative leather border around the edges. Great condition! Measurements:
Outer leather pad is 5 ½” tall x 5” wide and 7 ½” tall with ring. Ring is 2 ½” diameter. Brass center heart is 2 ½” wide x 2½” tall.
