H291 Early hand hooked rug depicting a large primitive black cat with a white face, a dog and several butterflies with two large bee skeps and a bunch of tall flowers in the background. Given the different skill levels visible in the different hooking styles and patterns throughout this rug, it is believed it was possibly made by more than one person - and may have been used to teach the art to a younger person. Constructed of strips of various fabric types hooked on burlap - mounted and ready to hang. Measurements: 39 1/2" wide x 21 1/2" tall.
