H334 Late 18th century to early 19th century Pennsylvania Miniature Blanket Chest with applied bracket base with beautiful Chippendale style designed foot and original spurs on ends, and original dropped apron front on the base. Retains original robin egg blue paint. Beautiful painted love birds with hearts on their wings, pinstriping and tulip decorations enhance the beauty of this piece. The paint decoration is typical of the Lancaster County, Pennsylvania area. The wood is white pine. The case is dovetailed, there are small tee nails and common cut nails in the bracket base. Chest retains original lock and hinges. Circa 1790 - 1810.
