Shattuck-NA 1861 1832-1928” Painting is not signed within viewing area; however there is a signed and notarized Certificate of Provenance attached to the back that indicates the following:
Artist: Aaron Draper Shattuck NA 1861 (1832-1928) Title: “Cows at Rest in the Meadow c.1855”
Size: 11” x 9” Media: Oil on Academy Board.
I hereby certify that the original oil painting described above was identified by my grandfather, A. D. Shattuck, as his own work; that the painting was willed to my mother, Helen Shattuck Stewart; and that it was removed by my family directly from the A. D. Shattuck homestead in Granby, Conn.
