H457 19th century American, beautifully painted Parcheesi game board found in Pennsylvania. Vividly painted in red and green on a yellow background with matching yellow painted molding, secured by tiny square head nails, applied on all sides. Original dry surface with signs of wear indicative of age and use. The back of this game board shows it was cleverly constructed of two heavy wooden shutters – still bearing their weathered surface with beautiful relief carved pattern of flowers, leaves and vines. Measurements: 20 ½” square x 1 1/8" thick
