H491 – Late 19th century Patriotic Podium / Pedestal in original red, white and blue painted surface. Great lambs tongue molded corners and inverted molded panels centered on all four sides – with the back panel discreetly being a fold-down door that opens for storage inside.  Retains rings on upper and lower edge of one side to secure a flag. Podiums like this were often used in GAR (Grand Army of the Republic) Civil War Veteran’s Posts. Measurements: Top is 28” wide x 18 5/8” deep. Bottom is 31 ½” wide x 22 ½” deep. Overall height is 27 ½” tall.
