I9 19th century small original dry, robin-egg blue painted firkin with tapered sides and wire and turned wood bail handle. Tongue and grooved staved construction secured with a total of three single finger bands (two on bucket part, one on lid – secured with tiny square head nails) – the overlapping fingers are secured with copper tacks. The handle is secured with sheet iron round escutcheon plates. Dry painted exterior with great wear and a clean, natural patina interior.  Measurements: 7 ¼” top diameter x 8 1/8” bottom diameter x 7 ¾” tall (not including handle)
