**SOLD** L358 Hand carved primitive folk art wooden replica of a “Barred Rock or Plymouth Rock” chicken with glass eyes and black painted feather details, a short red cone and yellow beak, mounted on a piece of split wood. This is a typical style of the Carver, William Kirkpatrick of Hudson, MA (born in 1939) who’s initials, “WEK”, are branded into bottom of the bird. Excellent condition! Approximate measurements:  Chicken is ~9 ½” deep x ~ 2 ¾” wide x 11 ¼” tall. The slice of wood is approximately 4 ¼” x 6” x 1 ¼” thick. Overall height is ~12 ½” tall.
