L372A Early 19th century Hog Scraper Wedding ring Candlestick with finger curl at the top and working push-up tab signed “Shaw”. Sturdy sheet iron construction with brass wedding band. Circa 1800-1820.
(NOTE: Shaw, working in Birmingham, England, was a maker of such candle sticks for the American market – and carried the first American patent for hog scraper candle sticks in 1853.)
