L372B Early 19th century Hog Scraper Wedding ring / band Candlestick with finger curl at the top and working push-up tab bearing a partial “Shaw” stamp.  Sturdy sheet iron construction with metal wedding band. (Shaw, working in Birmingham, England, was a maker of such candle sticks for the American market – and carried the first American patent for hog scraper candle sticks in 1853.) Dark, natural surface.  Circa 1800-1820. 
Measurements: 4 ¼” bottom diameter x 8 ¾” tall.
