L416 Late 19th century New England hanging wall box with outstanding original surface and original vibrant blue paint. There is a hole for hanging purposes in the semi-pointed back with extensive wear from years of use. Wire nail construction. Vibrant original blue painted surface with great wear inside and around the hole on back.
The interior shows great wear and natural patina. Circa 1870s.
Measurements: 10 ½” wide x 5” deep x 6 ¼” tall (center of back) x 4 5/8” tall (front).
