L440 Exceptional early 19th century Pennsylvania original red painted Apple Box with a square base supporting a dovetailed canted bowl. Square head nail construction. The red paint is original, and first and only coat throughout the interior and exterior of the box. All original.
Measurements: 11 ¼” square x 4” tall sides. The bottom is 9 ¼” x9 3/8” square.
