**SOLD** L459 Lovely 19th Century hand painted fireplace screen featuring a wooden stand holding a wooden center panel covered in oil painted on canvas. The front depicts a hand-painted floral still life surrounded by Cameos and a decorative flowing painted border. The colors include shades of brown, muted green, blue, white, red and yellow, with the back being a solid brown painted surface. The screen is accented with nail head rivet trim detail on the edges and topped with a wooden handle. No tears. Expected craquelure to paint on both sides due to age. Circa 1860s.
Approximate measurements: 36 ½” wide x 1 1/8” deep x 26 ¼” tall. The feet are 13 ¼” deep.
