**SOLD** R303 Early 19th century oversized Pennsylvania lidded Dough Box bearing original blue painted surface with great wear. Dovetailed case with deep canted sides resting on canted apron that is fully mortised and pegged into the turned splay legs. Top has a sturdy batten mortised in a unique angle on each end to lock the lid/top to base of dough box – allowing the top to only be removed by sliding it off. Mixed woods. Circa 1820s – 1830s. 
Base measures 23 ½” deep x 38 ¾” long x 29” tall. Top measures 29 ¼” x 49 ¼”.
