E465 Mid 18th Century New England stretcher base Tavern Table with dovetailed drawer. Two board top is secured to the base with wooden pegs. Breadboard ends on the top are held in place with rose head nails. Top rests on a Birch base with reeded legs and chamfered inner corners. Stretchers are all original and show great wear indicative of its age. Table retains the original surface. The paint is a 19th century blue over the original 18th century grey paint. A fine example of New England Tavern tables.   Measurements: 26 1/2” wide x 43 3/4” long x 27” tall
