**SOLD** GM2 Rare 18th century Sussex County, Delaware blanket chest bearing its original gray painted surface with original fern and dots paint decoration, a molded edge along front of lid, dovetailed case and original black painted and decorated applied bracket base with dovetailed feet. Solid yellow pine one-board construction with rosehead and “T” nails and snipe / cotter pin hinges. Clean, natural patina interior with lidded till. Circa 1770s-1790s. (Of note: Ferns symbolized vision, wealth / good fortune and fertility in the 18th century) Measurements: 44 ¼” wide x 18” deep x 22” tall.

(HMS Imogene of the Royal Navy launched June 24, 1831). The front panel bears the name “S. WELCH” with “COOK” painted below the name. Chest is dovetailed construction with applied molding around lid and base and strap hinges. Original iron handles remain intact on each end. Clean, natural patina interior boasts an open top till with drawer below. Measurements: 41 ½” wide x 22” deep x 20 ½” tall.

(NOTE: The Twitchell-Champlin Grocery Company (1884-1924) of Portland, Maine was a spice mill, candy factory and cannery for the commercial port during this time period.) F690 Early Pennsylvania wooden Chamber Pot Cabinet in original dry red paint. Sturdy dovetailed case with hinged lift lid to hide the chamber pot. A slightly recessed circle carved inside the bottom was intended to secure the pot, while the raised inner bottom board placed the pot in the correct height for appropriate use. Inner seat supports are still present however the seat is missing. There are inscribed lines along the front to imitate faux drawers, complete with two wooden knobs. This would make a great addition to a primitive bedroom setting! Measurements: 18 1/2” wide x 14” deep x 10” tall
