| L166 Unique late-18th century to early 19th century Lancaster County, Pennsylvania original red painted two-piece stepback cupboard boasting an unusual configuration resting on an applied dovetailed bracket base with decorative cut out feet. The layout of the top consists of two fully mortised and pegged split panel doors that open to reveal shelves with plate grooves and a spoon rack along the shelf fronts. The layout of the lower part of the cupboard consists of two dovetailed drawers over two panel doors with five smaller dovetailed drawers in the center. Cupboard is dovetailed and mortised and pegged construction with T nails and square head nails. Circa 1780 1810. |

Wonderful, applied molding surrounds the top and cupboard rests on an applied cut out base. |

| GM1 Exceptional 18th century Eastern Shore, Virginia original blue and white painted raised panel Clothes / Linen Press adorned with two raised panel doors, each with two panels, over one long panel below the doors. Each end is adorned with two large, raised panels. Cupboard rests on an applied bracket base with nice cut out feet. Top is surrounded by crown molding. All of the rails and tenons are mortised and secured with wooden pegs. The doors are attached with their original snipe hinges. A wooden turn knob at the top secures the doors closed. The extensive wear around this knob is evidence of many years of use. The wood is yellow pine. Rosehead nail and wooden pegged construction. Circa 1740s-1760s. |

Post and panel, rose head and square head nail construction with handmade molded/beaded-edges adorning each post and panel on the cupboard as well as along each edge of the doors. Both doors are fully mortised and wooden pegged. Applied molding around the top. The clean interior of the Kas has hand-hewn shelves (adjustable) with old natural patina. A large, hand-forged iron hook and eye ring secures closure of the left door. The name Genevieve Forcier is handwritten in pencil inside the right door. Circa 1770 1800. |
