J89 Late 18th century Pennsylvania slide lid Candle Box with original, dry-red painted surface. Slightly chamfered edges along the top. Three symmetrically carved finger notches in the end of the lid allow easy opening of the smoothly sliding lid. Tiny tee nail construction. Clean, natural patina interior. Measurements: 10 1/2" long x 6 3/4" wide x 4 3/4" tall
