A162 19th century wonderful original green painted hickory splint swing handle Basket from the collection of Prof. Charles Thomas in Leymaster, Pennsylvania. Nicely woven with a single wrapped, double rim with notched loops that secure the swing handle to the basket. Few minor losses. 

Measurements:13 x 13 ½” diameter. The sides are 7 ½” – 7 ¾” tall, depending on where measured. Approximately 15 ½” tall with handle up.
