E222 1925-1930'S. ORIGINAL PAIR OF DECOY ANDIORS THEY ARE BOTH VERY WELL SIGNED/MARKED RICHARD F.H. CLANCEY SOUTH ST. NEEDHAM, MA. (MASSACHUSETTS). MANY OF RICHARD CLANCEY'S CAST IRON WORK IS SIMPLY MARKED R.F.H. CLANCEY BUT THIS PAIR OF ANDIRONS HAPPENS TO HAVE IS 1ST NAME RATHER THAN JUST HIS INITIALS. They are cast iron pair of Decoy Andirons each decoy embossed on reverse "RICHARD F.H. CLANCEY / SOUTH ST. / NEEDHAM, MASS.", base "SOUTH ST. / RICHARD CLANCEY / NEEDHAM, MASS." and rear log supports stamped "RICHARD F.H. CLANCEY / SOUTH ST. / NEEDHAM. MASS.". First half 20th century. 11" H,19 3/4" D.
