E51 Early New England Hooked Rug depicting a house with grassy yard, several trees, beautiful flowers and two oversized birds perched upon an elaborate fence which stretches along the length of the foreground. The background is wonderfully variegated to give the impression of smoke/clouds throughout the sky and what is perhaps a leaf covered area surrounding the nicely cleared grassy yard. Rug is constructed of wool and cotton hooked on burlap, and has been professionally cleaned and mounted
