F64 New England, ca. late 18th to early 19th century. Bold form, with broad inner rim tapering subtlely downward, showing strong evidence of slow lathe turning, and resting on raised foot.. Dry robin egg blue paint is the first coat and the original coat, with diameter 19” ( out of Round) while standing about 7” deep rather than the more typical shallower 5 inches. The structural condition of this bowls early crack that was repaired 100 years ago , with a metal patch . The painted surface has typical minor abrasions, from year of use. This is by far one of the best form and blue painted bowls I have ever seen
