**SOLD** G201 19th century Paint-decorated, Pennsylvania, plank-seat settee (1845-65), in a half-spindle-back style. The green painted background is beautiful with mustard and black pin stripes. The theorem-like paintings of fruit are typical of rural Pennsylvania chairs and benches. These are hand-painted with fruit , The overall look is beautiful and colorful and well-executed example of Pennsylvania German folk art on a piece of rural-made, paint-decorated furniture.
Measurements: The seat is 70" wide x 21" deep x 16 ½” tall. The back is 32 ½” tall.
