G236 A mid to late 19th century paint decorated bucket from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Arched wire bail handle with turned wooden grip. The interior is old natural patina, exterior painted with an overall grained mustard color over a yellow ground having a distinct and unusual diagonal tendril-like combed decoration. Two iron bands secure the staves. In generally good condition having minor imperfections commensurate with age and use. Measurements: 12" diameter x 9" tall.
