G296 Hooked rug featuring three very primitive cats on a black background. Maker creatively incorporated a cat sitting with its back/tail to the viewer, in between two standing, side view cats. There are mixed fabrics used, predominantly cotton and wool, hooked on burlap. Mounted and ready to hang! Circa 1870 - 1880’s.
