G364 Early canvasback drake decoy duck carved by James "Jim" Alexander Currier (1886-1971). Original paint in very good condition. Currier lived and carved in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He is a well known and respected carver. This canvasback drake decoy was probably carved around 1930. Looking at the unique bill you can see it has a well deeply carved mandible or sometimes called a roman carved bill which is indicative of a Currier pattern
