G572 Sampler identified as being wrought by “Amy King”, undated. This simplistic work includes two sets of double alphabets, one upper case and one lower case, spread over a total of seven stitched rows, along with the maker’s name, and the numbers 1 - 9, with each row being separated (and overall bordered) by bands of hand wrought geometrical shapes. The Sampler is linen and wool, and bears very minor losses throughout that are indicative of age. Colors remain vibrant throughout. Wooden frame contains minimal damage. Frame measures 17 3/8” tall x 14” wide.
