G612 Large red Pantry Box

G612 Historic Late 18th Century Military Wooden Drum , cut down and repurposed into a Pantry Box probably  post Civil War when no longer needed. The Box retains a strong bittersweet red paint with brass tacks and Rose-head nails. The purpose of the holes around the lid is where the head of the drum was held together with ropes. This was found in a Home in N.J.
