G703 Spectacular 18th century splay leg Pennsylvania two board scrub top table, in beautify oyster white paint, with two dovetailed drawers. Circa 1790-1810. The drawers are two different sizes, with the left one being 14 3/4” wide and the right one being 20 3/8” wide. The top consists of two wide boards secured together with large butterfly (or “bow tie”) joints on the underside. Wooden pegs that are inserted through two battens underneath the top and extend into the base are what is used to secure the top to the base. Nice, sturdy tapered splayed legs that are mortised and pegged,. Measurements: 8” (96”) long x 33 1/2” deep x 29 1/2” tall. 20 1/4” from apron to floor. The base measurements are 27” deep x 72 1/4” wide.
