G866 NEW ENGLAND RED PAINTED LIFT LID WRITING DESK, circa 1820 featuring shaped backsplash, hinged lid concealing shallow well, and pencil post  legs with beveled-edge profile, period pencil inscriptions to underside of lid. Retains an original red-painted surface  First quarter 19th century. Measurements: 37 3/4" wide x 19 1/4" deep x 34 1/4" tall  (Apron to floor clearance is 21 ¾”)
