H1011 Rare, Late 19th century original mustard painted oyster bucket with red painted hand-stenciled advertising for “Norfolk Oyster Co – Boston” and the number “960” is stenciled in the same red paint on the top and side of the bucket. This heavy, Shaker-style bucket features a hinged lid with iron hasp, iron handle with diamond-shaped escutcheon attachments and thick, wooden staved sides secured with three iron bands. The interior retains an old oyster white painted surface. Measures 10 ½” tall x 9 ¼” top diameter x 10 ¾” bottom diameter.
