H146 Copper flying Goose weathervane - Mid 20th century - great condition with tight solder joints throughout and wonderful patina.  "MC ELVAIN" is stamped (or carved?) on one side into the lower edge of body below back part of wing. This name is attributed to multi-generational makers of handmade weathervanes in the Bar Harbor, Maine area - and dates to the late 60's, early 1970's. Mounted on an early weathered wooden acorn and ball finial for display purposes. Goose and directional measures 21 1/2" long x 26 3/4" wide wingspan. Overall mounted height is 23".
