H481 19th century hand painted wooden butter paddle depicting a snow scene with a house with snow covered roof, fence and barren trees, along with a person on a horse surrounded by three small dogs in the lane. Detailed artwork including strategically placed textured strokes in the snow and sky adds a feeling of distance to the setting. Light gold wash on back side of paddle. Unsigned.
