H56  Wonderful New England trade sign advertising “M. A. RYERSON. DRESS MAKER”. Wooden sign retains original gold lettering on a black sand painted background and boasts two gold stripes around its entirety that enhance the wooden frame encasing all edges. The fantastic parallel pit saw marks along the entire back side of the sign dates it between the 1840’s and early 1860’s. Square nail construction. Measurements: 59 5/8” wide x 16 1/4” tall x 1 1/2” thick.
