H954C 19th century wooden turned mortar and pestle in original, very dry, worn gray painted surface. Very simple turned design retains evidence of hand-hewn marks on the bottom. The pestle, which appears to be original to the mortar, has the original old patina surface and shows evidence of extensive use around the mashing end.

Measurements: 5" top diameter x 4 ¾“ bottom diameter x 7 ¾" tall. The Pestle measures 9 ½“ long.
