**SOLD** H993 19th century punched tin Lantern retaining original dry oyster white painted surface. Symmetrically punched and pierced patterns of dots and dashes, with punched and pierced designs in conical top for venting purposes. Hinged door retains early wire repairs in place of the hinges, however door opens freely for easy access to interior candle socket. The hook for door hasp to latch to is missing. Attached round metal handle at the top for carrying / hanging. Found in Pennsylvania. Measurements: 13” tall (not including ring) x 5 ¼” diameter. The ring measures 2” diameter.
