J137 Very early long wooden trade sign from eastern Pennsylvania – advertising “B. WHITE and SON.” Letters are painted in silver on a dark blue background. Sign boasts molded edge on all sides.  A separate framed photograph goes along with this sign – showing it as it was hung on the original storefront – and history reveals itself when viewing the reverse side of the sign as it bears the original “B. WHITE” sign as photographed and indicates the sign was added on to as the family grew to “B. WHITE and SON.”

Sign measures 126 ½” long x 16” tall x 2 ¾” deep. Framed photograph measures: 16” wide x 14” tall x 1” thick
