J292 Early 19th century Federal style Mirror featuring a hand-painted reverse painting of three tall-masted ships on the ocean/sea. The center ship bears several pennants and an early US flag flying proudly from its masts. The sturdy, solid wooden frame features detailed moldings, reeded sides and medallion corner blocks and bears its original pumpkin and yellow painted and decorated surface. Original mirror remains intact. Circa 1810. 

Measurements: 15” wide x 23” tall. 2 7/8” deep at top corners x 1 ½” deep at bottom corners.
