J312 Pennsylvania 19th century handmade Felt Penny table runner – professionally mounted and ready to hang. Each of the 49 hand stitched wool ‘pennies’ features remnants of a center circle with eight surrounding petals to create a flower inside each penny. Pennies are stitched to the background fabric in alternating yellow and green yarn. The runner is further adorned with an edge that features individual black fabric scallops bound in red to match the background fabric. Artful display of color placement adds to the visual appeal of this item. Circa 1900.
