J416 Virginia wash stand with applied decorative cut out gallery in old mustard paint. The apron and Hepplewhite tapered legs are mortised and pegged. Gallery bears a chamfered edge along the bottom sides where it is attached to the stand. Square head nail construction. The wood is yellow pine. Circa 1850’s. Measurements: 30 ¾” wide x 16 ¾” deep x 29” tall (front) x 33 ¼” tall (back). Apron to floor measures 23 ¾” tall. The one-board top is 15 ¾” wide.
