**SOLD** J449 Spectacular late 18th century – early 19th century southern Huntboard from Piedmont, North Carolina (Chatham County) in original uncleaned mustard painted surface. Applied backsplash bears a hand carved Folk Art cut out Tulip. One-board top and one-board panel ends with two doors on each side of two center, graduated sized drawers. The case rests on tall, gracefully turned legs. Working locks, with keys, remain intact on each door. All pegged and “T” nailed construction. The woods are poplar and pine. Provenance included.
