K1522 19th century American School Oil on Canvas Portrait of a Woman. Some of the exceptional details within this portrait include ultra realistic facial features, a lace collar with beautiful broach, a long gold chain with watch, decorative sleeve “bracelets” with blue / red colored beads/jewels, and a book beneath the finely detailed fingers of her right hand. A curved trellis and the tall steeple of a church are visible in the through the window painted in the background. Very small hole in canvas by her left forearm.
