K1579 Unique 19th century Pennsylvania wooden Scrub / Scouring Box bearing traces of old mustard paint over the original blue paint. This sturdy scouring box features a canted end, sides that have hand-hewn rounded edges on the interior and a pocket below the well-worn angled scrubbing area for holding soap. The tip of the scrubbing area extends to a rounded point beyond the end of the box. An early metal eye hook remains intact for hanging purposes when not in use. Wire nail construction.
Measurements: 12 ½” long x 6 ¾” wide x 4 ¼” tall.
