**SOLD** K1603 Lancaster County, Pennsylvania 24 drawer Apothecary bearing original red painted surface. This piece was used as a seed cabinet in a Country Store – with several of the drawers retaining handwritten notes on their sides indicating they held items such as “watermelon seeds”, “sage”, “Poke Root”, and “Pennyroyal”. Very unusual size, shape and form. Mixture of wire nail and square head nail construction. Tall cutout base. Circa 1870s.
